Strong enough to protect her. Bold enough to love her.
When good girl Margo Connelly becomes Lamar "Striker" Jennings's latest assignment, she knows she's in trouble. And not just because he's been hired to protect her from an underworld criminal. The reformed bad boy's appeal is breaching all her defenses, and as the threats against her increase, Margo isn't sure which is more dangerous: the gangster targeting her, or the far too alluring protector tempting her to let loose.
Though Striker's now living on the right side of the law, he's convinced his troubled past keeps Margo out of his league. But physical chemistry explodes into full-blown passion when they go on the run together. Surrendering to desire could be a deadly distractionor finally prove that he's the only man qualified to keep her safe, and win her love.
Jackson (A Man's Promise) continues her contemporary Grangers series with the sizzling, fast-paced tale of a driven bodyguard and the wealthy heiress he's hired to protect. After Margo Connelly serves on a Virginia jury that convicts a powerful criminal, her life is in danger. Enter Lamar "Striker" Jennings, a bodyguard with a checkered past hired by Margo's wealthy uncle. Though at first she's reluctant at first to have a bodyguard, other jurors are being killed, and she recognizes protection is not optional if she wants to stay alive. As the tension ratchets up, so does the passionate sexual chemistry between Striker and Margo, and he puts his life and his heart on the line. Jackson's deft plotting and effective red herrings keep the suspense high as her multidimensional characters command the reader's attention. Intriguing subplots, including one involving a psychic investigator, add texture to the story. The only flaw of this first-rate, satisfyingly sexy tale is that it ends.

Protect me baby
I just love this series you have to find Roland a special woman. I have the perfect women in mind Dr Lennox she would be perfect
The story was just too much. I didn't care for Margo the first half of the book. She had too many threats coming from everywhere for her. Stryker was the best part of the book , along with the other protectors.
