Hard to Put. Down
I enjoyed reading this book a lot, but I would have enjoyed it more if it had not all been written in the present tense.
Found Finally
I read this story with my heart pumping. Evan’s pain and fear mingled with anxiety for a lost childhood innocence. The warm characters, his mom and dad as well as his loving grandparents, lent warmth to this sad tale of loss and gradual redemption. Caring police work added to the belief that the road back to a full life was possible.
Very nicely done
Elegiac novel exploring the ways tragedy changes a family. After being abducted and sexually exploited, a twelve year old boy returns to his home, dreadfully traumatized and mute. No horrible details of the abuse are given, thankfully, just inferred from the situation. A tasteful and poignant journey with a family the reader can care about. Highly recommend.
