Eloisa James returns with another fabulous romance in her New York Times bestselling Desperate Duchesses series!
As a young girl, Emilia Gwendolyn Carrington told the annoying future Duke of Pindar that she would marry any man in the world before him—so years later she is horrified to realize that she has nowhere else to turn.
Evander Septimus Brody has his own reasons for agreeing to Mia's audacious proposal, but there's one thing he won't give his inconvenient wife: himself.
Instead, he offers Mia a devil's bargain . . . he will spend four nights a year with her. Four nights, and nothing more. And those only when she begs for them.
Which Mia will never do.
Now Vander faces the most crucial challenge of his life: he must seduce his own wife in order to win her heart—and no matter what it takes, this is the one battle he can't afford to lose.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
With its exceptionally clever plot and amazing female protagonist, Eloisa James’ new historical romance strengthens her position as one of our favorite authors of light fiction. Four Nights with the Duke is the story of Mia Carrington, an unmarried twentysomething who makes a great living in her secret life as a novelist. Desperate to take custody of her vulnerable nephew, Mia hatches a plan to marry Duke Vander Brody—an aloof acquaintance who, years before, rebuffed her teenage crush. We loved every second of this mesmerizing tale, which effortlessly blends modern sensibilities with old-fashioned intrigue and charm.

Good but not great
This book never really picked up any steam for me. It was my least favorite books by this author.
Enjoyed book but did not really like characters. Why do so many books gave to focus on cheating spouses? This one tries to makes acceptable based on circumstances. Vows are meant to be kept. Sermon over.
Loved, loved, loved the book! Vander was swoon worthy and the ending was so great. I found myself laughing out loud. Eloisa is a fav and did not disappoint!
