It was supposed to be a trip to meet the only family I had left—an aunt I never knew existed. Meeting Poe Halliday was never part of the plan, and I definitely didn't intend to fall in love with him. But fate, and Folkestone, had other ideas.
A past kept hidden from me.
A brutal secret buried for years.
And now, the dark history of this town is threatening to destroy me. But I've got a secret of my own—sometimes what seems most fragile can't be broken.
♥ This is a star-crossed lovers, angsty, mature new adult high school romance with a twist. It contains situations and flashbacks that may trigger some readers, including drug use, mental health issues, foul language, and scenes of a sexual nature.
Awesome story by new author!
I'm still blown away that this is a first release by a new author! The writing didn't feel new and hesitant. It flowed and I couldn't turn pages fast enough. The story really drew me in and I found it so fascinating, I couldn't put it down. (What? A book about high school seniors keeping the rapt attention of a 60+ year old? ME?)
Stella is an amazing female with resilience, backbone and fortitude. Sunday, an amazing best friend. She just swooped in, and the bond was formed! Poe? Well, let's just say I didn't like him very well. I loved the friendships (you have to read the book to understand)! And Folkestone? What a place. My head is still reeling. I'm already anticipating books 2 and 3!
GIVE THIS NEW AUTHOR A CHANCE! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
Omg.... as Stella jumped into Sunday’s car and I’m thinking yes take a drive and then......the end! Ugh!!!!!! I can’t wait to read more!

I love this story so much! Samantha writes stories that captivate you and really has you connecting with her characters! Fast burns are my favorite when they’re done correctly! This story really takes you back to high school when you connected instantly with your one person you’ll never forget! I can’t wait for the next book!!!!
