Freedom for the River Queen

In 1878 Queen Cyprinus and her carp family are captured in Germany and carried half way around the world to a wild Rocky Mountain frontier.

Their pampered life as royalty is over. Their fate? To be food for hungry miners and settlers in a gold-rush town called Denver. Tossed half-starved into the polluted South Platte River, the carp face dynamite-throwing humans and enormous animal predators like none they've ever seen.
