Tyler
Football is my life and it always has been.
I made a vow to be the best, regardless of distractions. I'm Tyler the Freight Train Owens, I can handle anything on the field.
Off of it however, my days begin to pile up with college, football, and helping out my brothers. I need a small reprieve. Especially if she's five foot five, brunette and has legs that go on for miles.
I can handle a small distraction, no problem. Besides, when that time clock runs out, I don't have time for panties, only touchdowns.
Kadence
Star football player...Check.
Spoiled brat...Check.
Manwhore...Check.
Right when I think I have Tyler Owen's all figured out; he knocks me on my ass, literally. I wasn't expecting him to help me up, or the little shock that I felt when we touched, but then I didn't think I'd fall in love either.
Too bad he has a line of willing women trailing after him, because I refuse to be one of them. The Freight Train may be used to scoring on and off the field, but this is one game he can't win.

Freight Train and his Pretty
Even though he starts out not wanting a relationship, Tyler is literally the perfect boyfriend when he actually gets Kadence. He is also a good guy, friend, and brother. Kadence is a loner for the most part, only really hanging out with her best friend until she meets the football team. She definitely has good reason for it. I really liked that there isn’t any overt drama of people trying to break them up. They don’t always have smooth times, but nothing crazy happens between them. I would love to see the other guys get books and the legal drama play out.

STORY:
I found this story ridiculously cute. It is the typical popular college football player and the girl, who pretty much keeps to herself, that gets notice by said popular jock.
If you are familiar with a tv series and movie called Friday Night Lights, this is basically this book. This isn’t a bully, enemies to lovers or dark romance, it’s just a college story about two students that has an attraction for each other and we are along for the ride. The author brought us on football games, Tyler’s home life (and I am excited to read his brothers soon, yummy) and his journey to go pro. I’m Tyler Mother F$&@ing Freight Train Owens, haha, I love when he said that. Kadence, was the sweetest thing. She was your typical College girl and that made her relatable. Watching her go through the motions of being sure, unsure, then sure and overthinking the relationship was interesting. They both really didn’t have any issues, but they still gave me a good read.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
I love their sexual chemistry. I thought the tempo fit them and I was able to connect with them. I was satisfied.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
Tyler’s brothers - Clyde and Nate sounds yummy and interesting. They are not in college but not far off in age. I’m intrigued and will put their stories in my to read pile.
Tyler’s Friends - JJ and Chandler can we get a story on them? Love them.
Kadence’s best friend - Brianne. She had a little storyline going on. I was disappointed because I wanted to know more.
Kadence’s dad - ok, Kadence’s dad sounds like a DILF, Dad I’ll like to f$&k and he is in an MC, where is my fan! I need cooling off. Even he needs a story. I don’t care if it’s a novella. I’ll take him any way I can get him.
OVERALL:
I found myself liking this story and fell in love with the characters. This was my first book by the author and will see where this series takes me.
TRIGGERS: alcohol use & roofied drink
****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.
Colliding Into Love & Meeting Chaos
Colliding Into Love & Meeting Chaos
This is the first book in the standalone Dirty Down South Series and this author tackled it! I can't wait for more! I loved this book, which is different from Sapphire Knight's other books, but it still has her flare and leaves you craving more! This is a must read! Kadence Winters is an independent, beautiful woman (that gets overlooked because she dresses to be comfortable), hard-working college student, who would rather be reading than partying. She has always been been careful on who she lets into her life and for good reason. Until she literally runs into and gets knocked down by the college's football star athlete, Tyler Owens. He is Alabama University's "golden boy," who is also hot as sin and a player. He is intrigued by Kadence, who doesn't fall all over herself to get to him like others do, and seems to want to avoid him. Neither can figure out why the other is appealing to them, but they enjoy each others company, jokes, and there's so much about the other that they didn't think they would ever want, yet they grow closer. Ty wants to make it official, but Kay isn't so sure. There's mystery and secrets that both are hiding. Will this bring them closer or tear them apart? Plus, the Pro scouts are looking at Ty. If he gets picked up, how would they stay together? Should Kadence take a chance on real love or stick with her book boyfriends?
