From Abandonment To Acceptance

It is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. The journey to restoration and wholeness is often far longer and more traumatic, with numerous twists and turns along the way. D. S. Briggs details the journey of his life dealing with abandonment and rejection as a child while attempting to reconcile this upbringing with the teachings of the church he had been brought up in. Was the rejection sanctioned by a God who promised to never leave or forsake us? Or was it the result of human failures and the inability to face failure squarely and deal with the consequences?
