From Above - Dall'alto

In synch with Imogen Cunningham statement “Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow”, with my photographs I am always in pursuit of capturing something unique and distinct. For this reason, I explore many different subjects at several distinct levels, and expanding my vision is a crucial yet constant struggle, my consistent goal. This is reflected in my images. After shooting at eye-level for years I felt like I needed a new challenge. Always in search of a different point of view, as FAA certified drone pilot, I can really try to scout new locations, dare to test new unusual outlooks and perspectives.

A drone camera offers a fresh way to see the world. Aerial photography can convey distinct ways of looking at our human interaction with nature. Viewed from above, often the distinct lines, patterns, shapes and colors of the scene below pull my attention more than the overall landscape itself. The drone's capacity to fly higher or stay closer to the ground lends me a unique ability to control more precisely which particular features of the landscape are captured at a given moment.
