From Ending to Beginning

A journal of the year following my husband's death. The thoughts, feelings and adjustments that I experienced day by day. It is a very personal narrative, but the value to other mourners lies in the message that we all share the same feelings, must learn the same lessons, and develop our own strengths. It takes time, determination, and many painful hours of soul searching, but we can, and must, eventually come to terms with our loss and get on with our life from that point. Although we may doubt that we will ever feel happy again, or that our sorrow will ever dim, a kind of healing does take place with time. Our future will improve at some point and we will be ready to take our own place in the world again. This is the account of how I managed, learned to cope, and finally, to accept.
