Publisher Description

The teenage years are some of the most difficult in our lives. There’s so much happening at once. Troubles with school, friends, family, and decisions about our futures weigh us down with worries. We’re beginning to realize who we are, but still have a long way to go. This leaves us with many questions. We wonder what’s normal now, what’s right for us, and what we should be doing in order to set ourselves up for success.

Sometimes we feel as though no one understands what we’re going through, but in fact, there are others who can relate. Whether they be social issues, emotional concerns, internal conflicts, or questions of achieving a balanced life, you don’t have to take on your troubles alone - this book is here for you.

From Me To You... Inspirational Poems for Teens is reflective of the voice of teenagers. It is a compilation of poems written about teenage emotions and experiences. In reading it, you can relate the messages of the poems to your life, and allow the meanings of the words to provide you with inspiration to move forwards.

This book was originally written by Halle Hagan, an international student living in Hong Kong. She completed the book in tenth grade as her Personal Project in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. It is based on many teenage experiences, and much of the inspiration for the poems was based on information given by Hong Kong teenagers and the adults who work closely with them. The book has been distributed to many schools in Hong Kong, and copies of it are also housed in a few libraries in Texas, Halle’s home state. This ebook has recently been created in order to make the writing accessible to more audiences. Print copies are also available for download in the Blurb bookstore for non-profit sale.
