Getting accepted by his Arab contemporaries as a legitimate Prophet and a Messenger of the one and only God was not easy, as Allah’s Revelations in the Koran will attest.
The Koran is also very much the story of one man’s efforts to get his Meccan kin, the Quraysh, and Arab neighbours to abandon their smorgasbord of gods and goddesses and to worship only Allah and to deny access to the Ka’ba to anyone who was not willing to do so.
Possibly the first official denial of a link between Islam and terrorism:
50:45 We know better what they say and you (Muhammad) are not a tyrant terrorizing them. So, remind, by the Qur’an, him who fears My Warning.
