From the dust, an outsider wanders into an impoverished mining town on the barren Outer-Core colony of Jotunheim. Once a decorated Loyalist soldier, Daniel is now an errand boy taking menial jobs to keep his boat, the Mazu, from going adrift. A simple job turns complicated when he’s tasked with retrieving schematics from a neighbouring colony gone dark. Although the scars of war run deep, the Charted Systems face a new tyranny inflicted by Maia and the PeaceSeekers. History resonates as Daniel is dragged back into a conflict he abandoned.
