Raspy voice
Why, oh why do you have to constantly refer to Dirk Kings voice as raspy? It was so annoying I stopped reading midway through the third chapter. Additionally, there is no emotional connection between the two agents. A reader likes to feel something for the characters and your poor display of the depth of each left nothing for emotional attachment.
