Stav blew out a breath as he stopped just shy of the crest of the hill. The Riinder Mountains stretched towards the sky around them, sheer rock faces high above.

Covered in snow.

Heavy ledges of snow drifts loomed, threatening to sweep down to exterminate him, Nov and Ori. His guides leading him to a cold year in the distant, cold, lonely Barwegen Monsastery.

As hard as the trek was, Barwegen would be worse. Was it any wonder that Stav hesitated? But Nov and Ori continued onwards, wintry threats looming, so what could Stav do besides follow them?
