Publisher Description
The dispatch-box continues to disgorge treasure. Here are four adventures of Sherlock Holmes, mentioned by Watson, but told here for the first time:
The Abernetty Horror – blood and gore in a peacxeful Welsh village
The Finsbury House – nothing is what it seems, and Holmes and Watson nearly lose their lives at the hands of a cold calculating villain
The Curious Affair of the Archdeacon – curious indeed (and more than a little amusing)
The Victor Lynch Forgery Case – told by Inspector Lestrade, in a letter to Watson following Holmes' "death" in the Reichenbach Falls
Customer Reviews
So Happy to Find Hugh Ashton
Like Hugh, I had devoured all of the Holmes-Watson stories I could find that stayed true to the orignal Conan Doyle pistache. Unfortunately, I had also purchased others, unknowingly at first and later through sheer desparation, that quickly disappointed. As a result, I found myself starved for the original form but often waiting months for new stores to be written by the few authors who also remained true. So bravo, and thank you very much Hugh!
