One of my favorites
This is definitely one of my favorite authors! The cyborg series 😍😍 and this one are one of my go back to, reread, get an auto version to listen too. AMAZING STORIES AND WRITING!!
Repetitive
The same things are stated multiple times throughout the book as if it was meant to be multiple books with refresher bits. Overall a good book, but I expected more since the other reviews were so positive. It gets somewhat annoying, IMO, that the same thing keeps happening. She’s tied up, consensual sex, people barge in cue immediately taking her, locking him up, and demanding she press charges for rape, she screams it was consensual, everyone says “oh” and then he’s let go. Rinse, wash, repeat. After the third time of “saving” her and pressing for him to be prosecuted, it begs the question of when will everyone stop assuming she’s being assaulted? It comes across as never….
Yes!
I don’t write many book reviews, but I had to write something for this amazing book. I came for the sexy story, and I stayed for the sexy story, but I also stayed for the beautiful love that grew between the main characters. I felt a happiness in my heart when I read their interactions. I laughed out loud several times. There is strong character building for even the secondary characters, which I appreciate. I felt immersed in the story and can’t wait to read more in this series.
