G.I. Jargon

This is a glossary of military terms—both official and slang—which were part of the dialect spoken when I was in uniform. Because of movies and shows on The Military Channel, some expressions have moved into civilian circles and gone mainstream. Therefore some fairly common terms are included. I mean no insult to anyone's intelligence, but it turns out some fairly intelligent readers are unfamiliar with what I had assumed to be household words.
