Emotionally engaging
I cried when I read this book. Enough said.
Predicability
This is a great book. However, I must take umbrage the the reference to the “pudgy” priest who is fat is also greedy, which is reinforced by him taking the coin for a quick marriage. I grow weary of reading books that describe all overweight individuals as greedy and grasping. I find that just like other human beings, greed is manifested in all shapes, sizes and socioeconomic situations. Please, give the fat people a break! The hero and heroine of this story are of course, slim and trim, but seriously, not all fat people are evil. Clearly you need to meet some folks who are as generous of spirit as they are of girth. I know many. I could introduce you to some of the most loving and kindest people on this earth if you choose to break out of your predjudistic notions.
