Publisher Description

When it comes to relationships Samantha Haller has seen it all. As a top LA divorce attorney she knows love doesn’t last. On a rare night out at a Hollywood nightclub she isn’t looking for love, or even a relationship, but with the help of a spiked drink she may just let loose and have some fun for a change.

For sports agent extraordinaire Jake Jensen dating means sex, nothing more. That’s why his “relationships” last, on average, two weeks. As long as the women go away quietly and don’t make a scene, he’s fine with that. Finding a new one to take the former’s place is never a problem for a handsome, generous, eligible bachelor.

They both want sex with no attachment—what could possibly go wrong? They could fall in love . . .

Started out a fun read

This started out as fun, flirty and funny. Jake is the ultimate playboy, Samantha is the straight laced divorce lawyer. The first time they meet, Samantha was accidentally drugged and flirted shamelessly with Jake. Her girls pulled her away before anything could happen only to meet him the next day at her sisters wedding. Samantha is so embarrassed about the night before, she convinces Jake she wasn't the woman at the club. They go there separate ways again only to be thrown right back together again. What follows is a constant run of misunderstandings and interruptions between these two, just trying to act on their mutual attraction. The longer this goes on, the more they get serious with each other and finally manage to hook up. Then Jake finds out Samantha lied about not being the girl at the club and this is where the story turned for me. Personally, I think Jake turned into a huge hypocrite. He made too big of a deal about Samantha's lies and did things that I just couldn't like him for. Fortunately, he does finally learn the error of his ways and we do get a HEA. I really wished the conflict in this story was handled differently by Jake because I would have loved this book. The writing was mature and 75% of the book was a very fun read. Because of that, I will definately read more from this author. ARC provided by NetGalley.
