Gangster Rising Book Two: 1969

1969 finds Denny and Frankie running an illegal gambling club for the Di Napoli crime family, hijacking trucks from East Vancouver docks, and stepping up on jobs their Crew Chief tags them for. Denny also runs another racket that he keeps secret from the mob; his tribe of 72 drug dealers spread across the city and outskirts that earns him more money in a day than his father made in a year.

But Denny wants more.

He makes good on his ambition to partner with the enigmatic Mr Cho, the 489 Mountain Master of Vancouver's Triad who is the principal source of heroin on the West coast. But gaining that partnership attracts new enemies that want everything Denny is building.

At the same time, Denny desperately tries to help the love of his life to kick her own addiction to the drug that will make him a rich man. Denny and Carrie had fallen in love as children only to drift apart, and have found each other once again in Vancouver's growing hippie community.

As his worlds collide and enemies grow bolder and more violent, Denny struggles to fight back while keeping the Di Napoli family unaware of his illicit drug empire, and to keep those he loves safe.

1969 brings the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, the summer of Woodstock, and the culmination of mankind's race to the Moon. But can Denny survive it?
