Garageband X - How It Works
After realizing there was no Apple manual for the new version of Garageband X, I went searching for an after market source. I was led to this authors work and read the reviews. The book does not disappoint. It is top notch. Also a lot of solid background on how OSX handles files, MIDI, audio.
Can’t ge better than that
The author Edgar Rothermich simple creates the best manuals available. I can’t imagine how much time he puts into creating these books. I’m so spoiled by his Graphically Enhanced Manuals that every time I have to read a regular text-based manual it is just painful. His books are full of information and in the case of this GarageBand book, I don’t think he left anything out.

Try the Flash Cards
I fooled around with the previous GarageBand app but now I wanted to get serious with this new GarageBand X. Like the other books I have from this author, thesis just amazing. It is so easy to learn all the elements.
The interactivity part works great. I played with the Flash Card feature based on the hundreds of glossary terms and it is really fun. This is not your dad’s manual. This is the new way to go.
I’m a GarageBand expert now, thanks to this book.
