Pint-sized corters, Hardbit and Slice, want only a quiet life tailoring. The nearby Forest of Feasters, with widespread man-eating forna and fauna, is a domain for other people to worry about.

At least, it should be.

The woodland's greatest threat, the giant sheocs, AKA gargantuorcs, have had enough of playing nice, and want humans back on the menu.

Corters, small and nimble, have a deadly reputation, so Hardbit and Slice are forced into the wilderness to exact revenge – never mind neither of them know how to wield a blade.

Banded with a zealous iron priest and a treacherous mercenary, the pair must venture into the woods in search of the giants. Their best hope is to get aid from the eccentric Doctor Brikkle – a scientist conducting warped experiments, and possibly the most dangerous person out there…
