Gay...or Not‪?‬

He begged God for a miracle.


But God knew the best means and timing; He knew Jerry wasn't ready for the answers he was seeking. For decades, Jerry struggled to find freedom from his unwanted sexual attraction to men. He loved Jesus and believed that homosexual fantasies and behaviors were wrong. And yet his childhood sexual contacts with an older boy led to a full-fledged sexual addiction, manifesting in an escalating series of one-time, anonymous homosexual encounters. These continued throughout his years in college, in the Army, in seminary, and even during his early years of marriage.


Enter Rosie, Jerry's endlessly forgiving wife. Side-by-side they fought for Jerry's sexual freedom and for their marriage. And in Gods time, they won!


Now they celebrate forty happy years of marriage, and Jerry enjoys a fulfilling ministry as a chaplain in numerous and diverse care centers. Not only has he been freed from homosexuality, but he's been freed to experience an ever-deepening intimacy with the God who rescued him.
