My dear late mum used to say, “When one door shuts, another one opens” She was right. One thing comes to a close and something else begins, but the close is not always a bad thing, it’s just the opportunity for a new start. It’s not the change that hurts and batters us, it’s the resistance to the change that bruises us. Be more like the yielding bamboo rather than the stiff oak. Two plants with different solutions to the same problem, the wind. The oak tries to beat to beat the wind with brute strength, the bamboo with flexibility. Change is often likened to a wind as in ‘the wind of change’. We are all blown about by it, may as well fly your kite.
