George Washington
Just what I like. Not a waisted word. A fast paced timeline narrative that refreshed my baseline knowledge while providing enough detail to make it compelling. Should be read by all.
Nothing disappoints me more than to pick up a "history" book on a subject I am truly interested in and, after reading several pages, coming to the realization that it is going to be a grind; not for content but for style. Yes that counts too. Every sentence doesn't need a comma.
Some get that and some never will. Here the book and the author should be lauded as much for style as for content. A style I call Regard for the Reader.
