Getting Hot with the Scot

Cassie and Logan gave me an incredibly fun and sexy romance to devour. From their first meeting these two had a spark even as Cassie basically hated Logan. Logan is known for his shenanigans that he performs on the web with an opportunity to turn this success into a TV show. He needs Cassie to sign a waiver to use his latest footage but she refuses to sign. As he pursues Cassie for her signature, he finds an amazing woman that sparks so much more in him. Cassie is shocked when she finally let’s herself get to know Logan. Maybe he isn’t just a jokester after all. What happens when Logan’s true intentions are revealed? Will Cassie forgive him? Or will their chance at love go up in flames? I enjoyed journey, the great bond Cassie has with her friends and the amazing trip they take together along with Logan and his friend Theo. There were several surprises and twists along the way that kept me guessing how this love story would end.

This is my first book by Melonie Johnson. I really enjoyed this story. Five friends made a pact to travel Europe five years after college. Cassie and her friends are on the last leg of their trip visiting Scotland and London. Cassie Crow is an aspiring broadcast journalist. Cassie finds Logan hiding in a hidden room. Logan likes to pull pranks on people and share on his show “Shenanigans”. Unfortunately, for Logan Cassie will not sign the waiver or will she? Logan follows Cassie to London in the hopes of her signing the waiver. Over the course of Cassie’s time in London, she begins to develop feelings for Logan. But will the secret Logan carries with him keep him from achieving his end goal or are the feelings he feels for Cassie real? Logan’s big dream is to have a TV deal as a talk show host. When his big break comes without having to use Cassie’s video he is thrilled. Even better his TV deal is in the same city as Cassie. Cassie and Logan find themselves developing true feelings for each other. Will they each accept and embrace those feelings or will they run? Will Logan face his demons and be able to move forward with Cassie? So many questions. To find the answers I recommend you read Getting Hot With the Scot by Melonie Johnson. Hot indeed! There's nothing like a hunky Scotsman with the goods to back up his swagger. And boy does Logan have the goods...sexy and funny. What a wonderful hero he is. And the sizzling chemistry between him and Cassie is insane. I was captivated from the couple's amusing and steamy first encounter to the end of their journey. What a pair of fantastic characters created by this talented author. I loved the wonderful cast of characters in the five long-time girlfriends and can't wait for their stories. The author gave each one of the girls such entertaining individual characteristics that are unique to each. The story moves at an easy pace with wonderful humor, a sweet and sexy romance and some drama. You can't get around drama with five American girls on a five country vacation. And then there's Logan's quest to advance his career that involves Cassie which she's wants no part of and has the possibility of exploding their budding relationship. The story has a very organic feel to it that puts you right into each situation as it unfolds and had you either laughing at the antics of swooning over the romance. For a debut Ms. Johnson has a stunner. Truly fabulous! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
