Justifies Anti-Gay Violence and Alcoholism
The narrator would not have punched a woman in the face for kissing him. No patience for uber-macho hysterics or excessive drinking. The kid should run and run fast before he winds up serially abused. Until then, prose is a cut-above. Narrator is well-developed until the ending.
