What a fascinating tale!
I am delighted with this tale of an auditor on a mission, a paranormal investigator, and some very tormented ghosts. What a mystery! Who killed these people who continue to haunt the house? I am impressed with Phoebe and her ability to contact ghosts, her professionalism, and her ability to make a believer out of Pete. This business scares Pete silly, but I can empathize. Without the ability to see or hear most of what Phoebe is experiencing, I’d be frightened, too. Not exactly the usual setting for a romance, but it’s a delightful one nonetheless. Epic Halloween reading!
