The ghosts of her family's estate on the coast of Maine never troubled Ava Trumble. When she finally inherits the historic mansion, however, there's a small string attached: Ava has exactly one year to solve a 200-year-old mystery of a missing girl, or lose her family's home...
The lead investigator for paranormal TV show Phantoms, Jackson Granger, is prepared for any metaphysical encounter-until now. It's not just the uncanny sense of "coming home" or even his reaction to the fiery redhead who seems to consume his every waking thought. No, it's that the ghosts are using Jackson and Ava's attraction to play out a centuries-old tragedy. Heartbreak. Loss. Overwhelming passion. Now Jackson and Ava must determine if they're sharing something real...or if they've been possessed by a love that never died.
Each book in the Phantoms series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.

Ghost of a Promise
A paranormal romance that will leave you yearning for more. It’s been a while since I have picked up a Ghostly love story. Two trapped souls have been residing in The Trumble ancestral Mansion. Ava has inherited Trumble Mansion upon her Aunt Lois’s death but, with the stipulation she uncovers the truth upon the disappearance to the mysterious Sarah Kerrick within a year or she loses the inheritance.
Will Ava Trumble and Jackson Granger solve the mystery of Trumble’s paranormal activity and long lost souls which have not moved on to the afterlife? What is keeping them imprisoned in this Mansion? Why have Ava and Jackson’s paths in life suddenly come to cross?
The centuries thus far, succeeds keeping them apart; shall it continue?
An unexplainable bond between these two souls (or perhaps Ava and Jackson) which has withstood and weathered over two-hundred years. Peter’s anger has hidden and blinded him in darkness since his death.Their souls have been deprived from peace; linked together when they were alive. Peter refuses to move on since the disappearance of Sarah Kerrick; the love of his life and speculation fell upon the Trumble’s.
When destiny decides to find you and steps in with an unforeseeable encounter.
Ava seeks outside assistance to uncover the mystery. Upon Jackson’s arrival he instantly feels connected to the mansion as if he had already been there.
At times, fate is peculiar; it conceals itself right under our noses, surrounding us in its presence but our blindness suppresses from discovering or discerning it. Until by some magical intervention we find it.
Below are some are snippets from the novel:
“Something unspoken passed between them, a sensation she couldn’t describe in words.”
“The woman got to him. Deeply. If she wasn’t spitting fire she was driving him to his knees with her kindness.”
“But not once had he almost lost it. Not like last night. Never had he fumbled, laughed and… connected to another like with Ava. The way he touched her, like his very life depended on giving her pleasure, and the way she responded, so openly, rolled around in his mind like an escaped ping-pong ball.”
“There was something so familiar about their joining, too. Not like the first time he kissed her, as if with someone else’s memory, but recognizable all the same. Something that went beyond physical, and again, he couldn’t name the feeling.”
“Love came and went as often as the tide. Feelings changed. He never wanted to fall into that trap. Why allow himself to fall for something as frail as love?”
“I think you’ve been lying to yourself so long that you don’t know what the truth is anymore.”
Author shows the personal growth and maturity on different levels with each of the characters. Well-developed, enthralling plot and extraordinary writing.
A story with new beginnings, lost loves, acceptance and forgiveness. Perfect read. Impressive and fantastic debut for Phantom’s Trilogy.
The true test of love is not always ‘Will you fight for it?’ The real test of true love is often ‘Are you willing to give it up?~ #TiffanyReisz
