Ghosts of my Sisters

A simple life as a wife and mother, a warm hearth to call home, the companionship, maybe even friendship of sister wives. Like her mother before her, this is all Hauwa hopes for her life. When her first pregnancy ends in tragedy, Hauwa finds herself living on the fringes of her own society, as an outcast, a ghost navigating the shadowy world of loneliness, shame and despair she had only heard of whispered as cautionary tales around the evening fires.

Cloaked in despair and bitterness, Hauwa finds strength and healing in an unexpected sisterhood. But can she let go of her bitterness and anger enough to find the healing that only forgiveness and acceptance can bring?
