Gideon: Wimp to Warrior

Gideon should not be relegated to flannelgraphs in children's Sunday School classes. His struggles and victories are relevant for adults today. At the center of one of the many cycles of apostasy which the nation of Isael experienced, this historical account provides warnings and lessons for Christians today. Gideon was a judge sandwiched between bookends of 40 years of peace. While it is well known that his army was outnumbered by 450:1, much of his story is not so well known. He lived in a day much like our own, "In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes."
