Globe Magazine

The Globe Magazine is a publication of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) in Monterey, Calif., the premier foreign language learning institution of the U.S. Department of Defense. Published by the DLIFLC Public Affairs Office, the Globe Magazine covers elements of foreign language study, student and faculty life, alumni engagement, and foreign-language study tools and events for military personnel and the general public. 


The Globe is an authorized publication for members of the Department of Defense under the provisions of AR-360-1, and follows the Associated Press Style guide. Contents of the Globe are not necessarily the official views of, nor endorsed by, the U.S. government, Department of Defense, Department of the Army, or DLIFLC. The Commandant, Editor-in-Chief and Editor reserve the right to edit submitted materials as necessary to conform to Globe editorial policies. All photos, unless otherwise credited, are Department of Defense photos.
