The first victim was found lying on a sidewalk in the rain. The second was murdered in her own apartment building. Police Lieutenant Eve Dallas had no problem finding connections between the two crimes. Both victims were beautiful and highly successful women. Their glamorous lives and loves were the talk of the city. And their intimate relations with men of great power and wealth provided Eve with a long list of suspects--including her own lover, Roarke. As a woman, Eve was compelled to trust the man who shared her bed. But as a cop, it was her job to follow every lead..to explore every secret passion, no matter how dark. Or how dangerous.
A Good Read
I enjoy these characters and plot, but I knew who the killer was almost immediately, so I found it hard to believe that Eve didn't think of it far earlier. Also, the lack of breaks in going from scene to scene was at times confusing.
Love this story line
How about Dallas and Roarke in a movie that would be Frosty
Engaging from start to finish!
I have been an ardent fan of Nora Roberts romances for years. As an author, she is an incredibly gifted storyteller. I did not think her style would carryover to murder mysteries and so hesitated to begin a Robb book. I was so very wrong!
I have 46 more books to read this fall. I cannot tell you how excited I am. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
