Glowing Fire

A STORY FOR THE YOUNG. The story of fiction, Glowing Fire, gives the reader a word-picture of fourteen-year old Alexia Thompson and her young Indian friend, Luke Swift Foot Lakestone in the Nineteenth Century, after the Civil War. The story tells of Indian life in the New World after the white man comes to settle. Many little known facts of history are woven in to the work of fiction, giving the reader the opportunity to learn and, hopefully, better understand how differences of races were challenged and, at times, were overcome.
