At first O'Brien figured the job would be easy. After all, just how difficult could it be to locate a fifteen year-old runaway?

But then it all spiraled out of control and he found himself going head-to-head with Johnny Spade, the handsome Italian they called 'The Last of the Comancheros', and Spade's thirty-strong gang of kill-crazy cut-throats.

There wasn't much that one man could do against that many guns, but O'Brien knew he had to do something. By then, it wasn't just a fifteen year-old girl's life at stake, it was the future of an entire community—men, women, children and babies.

The odds against him would have made a lesser man quit there and then. But even outnumbered as he was, O'Brien didn't have any quit in him. So he checked his guns and set out to bring the Comancheros to justice, and if he couldn't do that, then at least he'd go down fighting.
