In the 1950s and 60s, the 24 hours of Le Mans in France were not just a race but, according to Playboy editor Baime, the most magnificent marketing tool the sports car industry had ever known. A great book!
Really enjoying this one! Learning a lot about the historical significance of Le Mans and Fords history making run. A great read for car guys!
Great story good read
An interesting read. Even if your not so much a car guy, but like the 50's and 60's era. Only thing is it would be nice to have some pictures of the people, cars and tracks that are written about. Don't know if the paper version was different. It just would be nice to not have to google the people, cars etc to see what they look like every few pages.

Good read, but I wish the author would've continued writing through 1967-69 in the same level of detail. To describe the greatest LeMans race (1967) in a couple paragraphs does the entire story a great disservice.
