God, He Is Poetry

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky but was raised by my aunt
Carrie and uncle bass in Paris Tennessee.
I was always a created child growing up, but poetry was not
My thing at the time, art was. I was so good once upon a time
That I was offered a career in a art school.
My mom would not let me take it because I was only sixteen
And the school was out of state. I was more in to drawing
Cartoon characters than regular art. My life took a turn
For the worse, and I never got a chance to pursue my
Career. I married, and had three daughters. I now have six
Grandchildren, whom I am proud of.
So much have happened in my life that I started writing
Certain experiences of which I started to put it to poetry.
God have been in the mist of it all, so this is why I write
Christian poetry. Without him in my life, I don’t know what my
Life would have been like. He has been my strength, provider,
Healer and my best friend.
I pray this book will be a book of encouragement for
