Publisher Description

Rob Bell's book, Love Wins, has generated a national conversation about ultimate issues, such as the nature of hell, heaven, and the ultimate destiny of humankind. Yet, the book has also created unnecessary confusion. God Wins is a response to the provocative questions Love Wins has raised. In God Wins, Mark Galli explores the important questions that are left unasked and the issues left uncharted. Mark shows how Love Wins is not enough—and that there is even better news for our world. Includes a group-discussion guide with relevant Scripture passages.

You've missed it!

When a human being feels the need to right a book to diss a book that a fellow human wrote, I find a little disturbing, but thats the way of the world that we live in. When a proclaiming Christian writes a book to diss another Christians book, then... Well. He missed it! The entire point of Bells book to see that no matter what questions we have or what thoughts may occur in our sinful, wrongful, and wondering minds, God still loves us. We have the right as dedicated followers, servants, and even leaders of the kingdom we long to grow, to wonder. To wonder is to fear the unknown. To say that you fear something isn't just being scared to death of an idea of a place men and women describe standing on a wooden platform on Sunday's, it's a feeling inside you that makes you want to ask questions. I feel all these people who know the bible and know the ways of a "Christian" life, are tooting there own horn. To say that someone's question is wrong, especially when Jesus himself didn't tell us exactly where heaven is, is like saying, "I've got it all figured out". If a person feels that they have it all figured out then wouldn't that make them God himself. God has seen all, will see all, knew it all and already knows all. All! Beginning to end. With the end being... 3011... 4011? We don't know. But god does. Bells expresses the importance of God and the unknown in our lives. To God, there is no unknown, to man, the unknown is FAITH! Our faith is driven by love. We as Christians are to love one another. No matter, what who we are, no matter what background we come from. No matter what faith we were born into. When we choose to love God back, we should throw away all hatred and controversial behaviors in which we desire to follow. But we don't. We all want to be the one who knows it all. And in the end we will all realize, we had it all wrong. I believe that as long as I follow what Gods word teaches me to do, then I will be fine. I will get to see his face, and one day have a lot of questions answered for me. But in the mean time, I'm going to ask questions, because we don't know. Love DOES Win!

Contending for the Gospel

This book is a fantastic rebuttal to Rob Bell's well-intentioned but ultimately misguided book 'Love Wins.' Mark Galli does gracious job of balancing strong correction of Bell's borderline heresy with a kind of gentle fairness to him.

God does win!

Great book. Been studying and studying about the centrality of Christ and this book bring more to light on God being God, and how it's all about Him! A mix of theology and a mix of pragmatism, this book is great for those that want a foundation that won't crack or cave in. Great answer to the some of lies mixed in with the truth that Rob Bell wrote in his book 'Love Wins'. Thank you.
