Publisher Description

They fell in love in high school and found their way back to one another despite the odds. But can first loves really be forever?

For Reed Johnson, the dream was always football. But then Nolan Lennox took over his heart. She was the good girl who made him want to be better—made him whole. Whatever man he was becoming, he owed to her. The life he dreamed of was right there to take—bowl games, national championships, and maybe…going pro. But a hundred of miles of desert between them and four long years of college ahead might prove to be the toughest challenger of all.

Hearts can’t help but want to play defense when they’re wounded, and some wounds seem impossible to heal. But Reed Johnson isn’t the kind of man who backs down from the challenge. He digs in, and he fights—just like the woman he loves taught him to do.

But is he willing to give up his first love just to keep his true love? Or will he be too late?

Couldn’t put it down

I loved reading book 2 of Nolan and Reed! Their story felt real with the plot (and couple) experiencing the normal up and downs of what they went through. The book dealt with some very real issues that the author was very respectful of. I’m very impressed by this book and of the author. I can’t wait to read more from her.

Good but 1 and 3 are better

Review is based after read entire series:
I loved this series so much. It’s still amazing. This book for me has way to much dead space. I feel like the smaller moments had more attention than the bigger moments. There was some major stuff happening but it didn’t get as much attention compared to the “filler” moments that lead to those bigger moments. Basically what I’m saying is the “filler” moments had much more detail and pages compared to the deep and heartfelt moments that should have gotten more pages. Still very good

I absolutely loved Nolan and Reed's story and very happy there was a sequel. I loved how their story ended. You will not be disappointed.
