Claire Deveraux is perfection at its best. She’s beautiful, intelligent, and unaware she just became Jesse Boone’s conquest to settle a score with her boyfriend. Like her flawless performance as the perfect daughter and student, Claire’s production of being the perfect girlfriend has everyone fooled, except Jesse Boone. She fears this tattooed bad boy will see her secret desire to explore his crude threats and promises of rocking her perfect world. If she decides to give in to one uninhibited moment with Jesse, will she learn too late that it was all an act of vengeance or will Jesse learn that the taste of first love is sweeter than that of revenge?

Its a tough start, but if you hang in there a beautiful and emotional story awaits.
Jesse is playing games with Claire to get under her boyfriends skin. He is becoming jealous of Jesse since he took his spot as quarterback and now he is paranoid he is trying to steal his girlfriend. Both Jesse and Claire are playing a game with each other, but then real feelings develop. Once you get through the high school boredom a real touching story is waiting to be discovered. Hang in there and you will be emotionally surprised.
Wow! It ended up being an intense emotional journey. One I was not expecting. Jesse is stuck in a tough situation. The circumstances of his life make him unable to have the kind of relationship he wants to have with Claire. It's touching how Jesse has to pull away from his desires to protect what he loves. It breaks your heart to watch two people who love each other not be able to be together because his lifestyle does not measure up. Sad that a person who wants to have a better life is not given the opportunity to have it. It's heartbreaking to watch a smart and talented teenager being manipulated by an adult.
I love Claire's character. I have never encountered a teenager brave enough to face the hardships that Jesse has thrown her way. Georgia you wrote a very touching story. I was not sure I could get through the first few chapters regarding football and classes, but I'm glad I stuck with it.
Very deep and romantic
This book was fantastic. It was realistic,touching,and just a well put together story. I would definitely recommend it to everybody looking for a good read.
