Their happiness together, however, is threatened by the unscrupulous plans of Zoe's fellow employees. Ambrose follows up the similarly themed Silver Sparks without quite recapturing the earlier book's freshness. She breaks with the romance mold only in making her male lead the spunky small-business owner and her heroine the buttoned-up loner with a checkered past. Nonetheless, this story of love at high altitudes should warm the heart of anyone settling in for a wintry night.
