Gomez Rides Away

In a fight in a Santa Fe cantina, Gomez, among the poorest of the poor, kills the only son of the richest family in all of 18th Century New Mexico and must flee into the vast land of the Navajo where, pursued by the dead man’s family, he takes refuge in a place that may or may not exist.
