Loved it!!!
Loved it… could hardly put it down! Good thing I am retired!
Well…
I’ve never read a book from this author before but the reviews I read were pretty good. It didn’t live up to me as I read through though. I didn’t really feel a connection with Brooks and Lolly. I knew going in that these were the love interests, but there was a bigger draw (for me at least) to Vance and his relationship with Lolly. I felt that Brooks was only looking for a wife and Lolly fell into his hands. The book wasn’t bad but it was missing a spark for me.
Refreshing
I love the love triangle relationship between Vance, Lolly and the good cop, but mostly I was in love with Vance his passion to be more was inspiring and his friendship with LoIly I wanted to switch places with her lol , I truly enjoyed this book.
