출판사 설명

This Civil War biography examines the extraordinary life and legacy of one of America's most ingenious military minds.

A modest and unassuming man, Ulysses S. Grant was also remarkably accomplished, Undefeated in battle, Grant led the Union to victory over the Confederacy during the Civil War, and ultimately became President of the reunited states. He also revolutionized military warfare by creating new leadership tactics and integrating new technologies in classical military strategy. In this compelling biography, military historian John Mosier reveals the man behind the military legend, showing how Grant's creativity and genius off the battlefield shaped him into one of our nation's greatest military leaders.

Excellent

Despite a handful of minor errors in the text, the author’s knowledge and insight are first rate. I have long been in awe of Grant’s unique combination of humility, brilliance, and plain common decency; this work brings forth facts that I have never read elsewhere. I am extremely pleased to have found this book.
