Great Possessions

A classic memoir by an Amish farmer celebrating his life with the natural world in Southern Ohio.

In Great Possessions, David Kline meditates on nature with his feelings of stewardship for the land, his love of farming, his fascination with the beauty inherent in the most common natural occurances, and his conviction that nature is fully appreciated when it is shared and cared for by family and community. He writes about the joyous sounds of the first spring frogs, summer nights hosting ethereal moths, the mysteries of autumn migration, a walk through winter woods, revealing the wonders of the seasonal cycle and how humans connect to the world outside our doors.
