The first and most terrifying monster in English literature, from the great early epic Beowulf, tells his own side of the story in this frequently banned book. This classic and much lauded retelling of Beowulf follows the monster Grendel as he learns about humans and fights the war at the center of the Anglo Saxon classic epic. This is the book William Gass called "one of the finest of our contemporary fictions."
A Good Read
Short but sweet, good plot. Liked it, even though I'm not very in to this genre of literature.
One of my favorites
No one paid or asked me to write this review. This really is one of my favorite books that I have read. Yes, it’s short, but it’s so worth it. Beautifully written.
This is a great book I'm glad that my literature professor assigned this material to us to read for class. If it wasn't for the Professor I would've missed out on several great books. Worth every dollar and I highly do recommend it.
