Customer Reviews
Good subject, bad execution
The subject matter, a world ending EMP is an interesting subject matter. However the writing in this series was simplistic, lacked proper flow and follow through, and the plot lines felt forced and contrived. The dialogue between characters also felt forced and mechanical; there wasn't organic flow to the conversation.
There were so many instances of plots of convenience; where someone with just the skill set they needed came along, or where they found a perfect location with just the right equipment or supplies. Even the plots of inconvenience were predictable.
As the autho bounces from group to group I an unpredictable pattern; certain plot revelations are made, however those plot points are never further expounded on, or else they are fully expounded on a whole book later; making the reader fight to recollect what took place a book or two prior.
There are far better EMP/ Doomsday books worth paying to read. This may not be the one.
