King Grim Vasteri is the strongest and most feared warrior in the Tornian Empire. He is the King of Luda, blood brother to the Emperor and his line will die with him. Lisa Miller is a widowed mother of two little girls, Carly and Miki. Her husband died just a year ago, after a long battle with cancer and she misses him immensely. Friends want her to start dating again, but in her heart, she knows there isn't a man on the planet she could love like her Mark and who could love their girls as their own. Therefore, she'll stay alone.
When Lisa is discovered 'unprotected' at her husband's grave site, she wakes on an alien ship heading for an alien world. Refusing to accept this she confronts the large alien males, demanding she be returned to her children. Seeing his chance to have a female, Grim agrees to accept and protect her offspring if she agrees to Join with him and only him. Realizing this is the only way she can retrieve her children, Lisa agrees and the Tornian Empire changes forever.

Love Grim
Love this series, love this book. Grim is a great read, lots of strength, focus and smart characters, which are my favorite type.
This book has lots of action, drama, world building, strong family, how to show love and appreciation to one another, and righting wrongs. I’ve reread this series so many times, it is ridiculous. The strong values in this series keeps me coming back and eagerly awaiting the next story. The series story line, that actually encompasses another series too, is very interesting, I’m waiting for more on the other series as well.
The story line is different peoples working towards coming out of great tragedy that effects them all differently, how they can do the right thing because of moral conviction and that will lead to recovery, but people come in all shapes and sizes so it is not an easy task. There is wrong behavior to unlearn and even when you have the answer to save everyone, it can become even more dangerous.
It’s hard to write this review and not actually give anything away.
So I will end with this is worth the read. I actually started with Nikhil then Trayvon (connected series) then Grim and the rest.
