Grimm Academy Volume 3

I was awed by these retellings. The first and third books were different from the original, and the second was reversed but all were equally enchanting. Since I love fairy tales, I was so absorbed in these stories, focusing on the twist while trying to tie them to the original one.

Grimm Academy Volume 3 is the third boxset of the series: This set features Mirrors and Magic, a Snow White retelling; Lamps and Lies, a reverse gender Aladdin retelling (another favorite of mine); and finally Feathers of Fate, The Goose Girl retelling. I was fortunate to read each story individually and write my review per book. This volume is great in that you have the next three books and no wait time for the next novel to continue this ‘feel good’ saga. Plus you do not have to keep track of what story is next or if the series is in order.

Return to Grimm Academy and another set of couples who must do their best to survive their prophecy. They are a re-imagining of fairy tales but with some interesting twists to the original tale that made me laugh and sigh. Enjoyed the twists on Snow White, Aladdin and Goose Girl and seeing how they would defeat their problems and survive it along with their usual school work.
