Publisher Description
The author's first book, The Best Is Yet to Come, was published in 2011. Her first poetry book, My Lovely Golden Rose, will be published shortly. An avid lover of the fine arts, she enjoys storytelling, speech, and writing contests. She is following her grandmother's footsteps and fulfilling her dreams by reciting and interpreting poetry.
My nostalgic tales are true to the best of my ability—actually they're true to the best of my memory. I've purposely related my tales only as far as my short-term memory goes. Yes, I know I seem to be going around in circles, but I can assure you that the rest of my story can be considered as pure fiction. That could mean that I filled in the blanks with a reasonable facsimile of the truth, or that I fabricated my tales to liven up and embellish my life's adventures. Of course the part about growing up in the nation's capital is true. I am indeed a homegrown Washingtonian.
I'm going to tell you about my childhood and I'll stand by every word! The places are real, but some of the names of the characters have been changed to protect my innocence. I know my Miranda rights and readily acknowledge that anything I say can, and most certainly will be used against me. But I'll remind you that most of my tales took place when the "protagonists" were merely innocent kids; just happy kids doing what innocent, happy kids do. You'll be served up with the most unimaginable deeds that any rag-tag gang could conjure up for your pleasure. Enjoy!
